Translated from Italian, campanile means tower. Throughout history, the bell tower in many cities was the orientation point and by looking at the high church towers, people were more relaxed by walking the city. The bell tower of Herzegovinian Franciscan Church has also changed the vertical shape of Mostar, and so its tower soon became synonymous for silhouette of the City. Campanile of Mostar is situated in the complex of the Franciscan church, and of course not by accident got its name. A numberof services that can be found here are collected in one specific project that was previously required. Touristic stop, bus parking and a snack bar as well as host of other ancillary facilities have greatly changed the strategy that welcomes thousands of tourist who visit our city.
Visual identity for this extraordinary project reflects the monumentality and the originality of the Franciscan church tower, while the encapsulated letters I and L define it as a very typographic logo. Particular attention was paid to develop a signage system, where most of icons represent the offer of Campanile. Using brown (Franciscan) color, we emphasized to potential guests that this location and the services of Campanile are directly related to religious tourism.
