Shift have developed a vibrant visual identity system for the Sanus Motus School of Running, located in Mostar, whose target audience are mostly students and young people. We were asked to create a visual identity that communicates the ethos of Sanus Motus and demonstrates its aims.
The mission of the Sanus Motus School of Running is to expand knowledge of running and to encourage citizens to adopt a healthy lifestyle and spend more time outdoors. The goals of the school include initiating physical activity, introducing amateurs into the world of road running, and drawing attention to the concept of having an active lifestyle. It is widely acknowledged that sport activity has many positive effects on mental and physical health.
A key idea was to communicate the concept that the school was something new that was being created. While we were creating the logotype we were inspired by group of runners. By using a simple type as a base, we created a contemporary type solution that allowed the letters to 'run' while maintaining their clarity and legibility. A distinctive colour pallete composed of black and yellow contributes to better recognition and visibility.
The final result of this project is an interesting and dynamic visual identity which suggests movement, in fact 'Health Movement – Sanus Motus,' and which can truly reflect the character of the Sanus Motus School of Running.

Running is becoming an increasingly popular activity in the world as well as in our region. In light of this, the founders of Sanus Motus association came up with the idea of establishing the first school of running in Herzegovina.
