Identity and packaging design for a new line of functional beverages

Shift created the brand identity for Leda natural spring water back in 2016. Recently, the client has launched a new, ready to drink line of products. Leda Vitamin is a specially formulated beverage containing vitamins B5, B6 and D, and other vital nutrients that are beneficial to the human body. They are available in two flavours — lemon/lime/cactus and orange, and provide Leda's consumers with a fresh and healthier alternative to conventional soft drinks, with low-calories and low-sugar.

Our task was to create an identity that would help the brand stand out in what has become a very crowded marketplace. The Vitamin water market is currently experiencing significant growth due to growing consumer health awareness and thus increasing demand for health supplements. Within the ready-to-drink market, using creative and vibrant packaging can help sell the beverage to consumers who are looking for beverages to fit their health conscious and active lifestyles. That is also why product innovations and maintaining a strong brand image was vital for our client, for stabilizing long-term success and to maintain consumer attractiveness.

When developing the new brand, it was important to preserve the original Leda visual identity and at the same time, to upgrade it with motion and contrast. A more illustrative and much bolder design approach was taken with the new Leda Vitamin brand, with a colour palette containing two accent colours for each flavour in the range. We have developed a graphic identity that is built around linear pattern, parallel lines that run through the label and echo a dynamic lifestyle. The slanting lines primarily contribute to creating dynamism, and which leave a sense of movement and activity. A robust typography was deployed together with its light versions to achieve rhythm when presenting important information on different levels and to distinguish each flavour. A mix of bold colours was used, which are identifiable with the content of the product.

Shift has created the brand identity for Leda Vitamin including packaging and collateral materials, that communicate the unique personality of the new product line and a brand identity system that is optimized to deliver its message across a range of mediums, various digital and print applications, including packaging, social media, print and outdoor advertisements.
