Brand Identity and Development of Private Label Trend

Lukas TP Nakic is a domestic company founded in 1989 with their primary activity being the distribution of global brands across the country. Early in 2012 the company turned to us with a view of extending their assortment by introducing their own brand.  The extensive cooperation involved the design of a complete communication strategy, including the choice of name, packaging and visual identity design.

Since brands have become an important success factor in the food industry, our client had tightly defined goals, the realisation of which required our help. SBD designed an attractive brand for a comprehensive range of products that is constantly expanding. We needed to design the brand strategy, brand architecture, name, visual identity and packaging design for all products. It was a challenge to create such a new grocery brand that will appeal to new customers and enable the expansion of a product range.

The idea was to make the new brand friendly and accessible, targeted at anyone who wants a taste of something delicious. We wanted to create a logo that would incorporate and integrate all products, and could function successfully at all sale touch points – advertisement, catalogue of products, etc. The new brand reflects premium quality alongside everyday availability. Products have kept their individuality and are an inviting and enticing presence for the consumer. The white colour of the packaging was chosen to highlight the essence of product and it is the perfect background for a strong appearance of the new brand Trend.
